Animal Science Industry

The Animal Science Industry track prepares students for careers in the animal industry. These career paths may include animal production and management, animal feed, and animal health industries, as well as education and service organizations. Students are trained in the basic principles of breeding, feeding, management, nutrition, reproduction, and selection of livestock for the production of meat, milk, and wool as well as for animal health. Experiential learning is facilitated at the FAMU Animal Complex in Quincy, FL. Graduates may seek employment, pursue graduate studies or become entrepreneurs.
